Our Vision And Mission

Our vision is a paradigm shift in the availability and security of supply of critical materials to accelerate the global energy transition.

Our mission is to become the global platform providing the world economies with critical materials for the energy transition ensuring security of supply with minimal environmental impact.

Critical Materials

A New Strategic Resource in a Carbon Neutral World.

The clean energy transition requires greater volumes of specific raw materials. For instance, electric vehicles require six times as much nickel, cobalt, manganese, lithium and rare earth elements as internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.

The supply of these critical materials will need to expand significantly to match the surging demand driven by the energy transition, and Medallion wants to be there to answer this demand in the sectors most hungry for them - automotive, consumer electronics and wind power generation.

Medallion aims to narrow the forecast supply gap in rare earths and other critical materials, ensuring a global future for the clean energy transition.

The Market Monopoly

Addressing future risks to the global supply chain.

Currently, over 90% of the supply chain for permanent magnets is dominated by one single country - China - posing an extreme risk to key industries for the energy transition.

Global players in these industries are onshoring the production of REEs and other critical materials to increase supply chain resilience. In particular, the automotive and consumer electronics sectors are dominated by brands that are increasingly exposed to investor and consumer demands for clear environmental, social and governance (ESG) policies leading fostering the adopting of net zero strategies.

In order to close the supply gap (while meeting the ESG requirements from automotive and consumer electronics companies) new players in the critical materials space will require innovative technologies addressing a 30-year technology development gap to deliver on CO2 emissions and wider environmental impact reductions (e.g. water consumption).
